If you tap the ground to make the sand slab with the ship in the background fall, you can enter the bonus area.

Located midway through the first puzzle section. Jump from the platform to grab it.

Tap the ground in front of the palm tree to the left of the checkpoint to reveal the puzzle piece.

On the second whale ride, use the squid as a stepping stone to grab the puzzle piece.

When you see a boat with lots of animals on it in the background, N will appear. Tap the ground near the Radic vent, and the whale will blow a jet of water to launch you up.

It is located on a wooden platform in the section where the whale swims beneath the water's surface.

Hit the ground at the whale’s blowhole to make it spout water and jump high.
